This is not a stock photo. This is what Oia looked like when I was stuck in Athens, headset on, working call center shifts while the world stopped.

I was stuck in Athens. Working from a tiny apartment, headset on, telling someone how to fix their printer while outside the world stopped. Same headset, different logo.

And then they opened the islands for ONE week.

I was first on the ferry. Oia was closed. Like, closed-closed. This cafe? Umbrellas tied. Chairs empty. That 400-year-old dome just sitting there with no one to look at it. The blue so brutal it felt rude. No music, no orders, no waiters shouting. Just wind flipping the umbrella fabric.

I took this because it looked like the world pressed pause. And it did.

Now it's on a suitcase. Because some pauses you want to keep.

This suitcase? She knows the difference between busy Santorini and my Santorini. The one where you could hear your own footsteps on the caldera. Where the only boss was the Meltemi wind, not the shift manager.
